How to Plant Cannabis Seeds

- Place your seeds on the paper towel, making sure they’re spaced out, so they have room to grow.
- Fold the paper towel over the seeds, then place it in a sealable baggie or container.
- Place the container in a warm, dark place like a cupboard or drawer. Check on your seeds daily, and mist the paper towel with more water if it begins to dry out.
- In 3-7 days, your seeds should sprout roots and be ready to plant.
Direct Planting Method
If you’re in a hurry or don’t have any paper towels on hand, you can plant your seeds directly in the soil:
- Start by soaking your seeds in distilled water for 24 hours. This will help them germinate faster.
- Fill a small pot or container with a high-quality potting mix. Make sure the mix is light and airy, not dense and compacted.
- Plant your seeds about ½ inch (1 cm) deep in the soil.
- Water lightly, then place the pot in a warm, dark place. Check on it daily, and water as needed to keep the soil moist but not soggy.
- In 7-14 days, your seeds should sprout and be ready to transplant into a larger pot.
